Kai Cenat still has almost 40,000 active subscribers on Twitch, despite the streamer not going live in over four months.
Over the last few years, Kai Cenat has broken a number of Twitch records when it comes to his subscriber count. As well as breaking the record for most subscribers on multiple occasions, he also became the first streamer to break the 1 million sub mark during his Mafiathon 3 stream.
However, when the third and final Mafiathon ended in October, Kai took a hiatus from Twitch. He hasn’t appeared on anyone’s broadcasts since then, and there had even been rumors of him retiring from content creation.
Yet, the AMP star has been keeping himself busy, focusing on his new clothing brand – Vivet – and uploading to a secret YouTube channel. Despite the hiatus from Twitch, his fans haven’t abandoned him.
Kai Cenat likely still making $150k despite Twitch hiatus
In fact, as per stats from TwitchTracker, Kai remains in the top five when it comes to active subscribers. The Twitch star currently has just under 40,000 subscribers after losing 11,000 in the last month.
While exact figures for the different tiers of subs aren’t available, as a bottom line, Kai is likely making $163,527 from Twitch this month. That’s despite the fact he’s not streamed since the end of October.
Obviously, that’s not a small chunk of change, but it is only a rough estimate of what he’d be making with a 70/30 split on Twitch, and if all his subscribers paid $5.99.
His subscriber count remaining so high is likely due to fans not wanting to lose their subscription streaks and standing within his community. Others may have just simply forgotten to cancel it while he’s been away.
Despite the claims that he won’t return to Twitch, Kai has previously stated that he’s got plans to bring Streamer University back this year. So, don’t be surprised if he returns before long.
