Kai Cenat has explained as to why he needed to take a break from Twitch amid his desire to become a star in the fashion world.

At the start of October 2025, Kai Cenat had once again climbed to the top of Twitch mountain, remaining his spot as the most-subscribed to streamer on the platform. However, he’d smashed his previous record, breaking the one million subscriber mark.

The end of his Mafiathon 3, the final Mafiathon, was marked by appearances from LeBron James and Twitch CEO Dan Clancy. Yet, once it was over, Kai disappeared from the Amazon-owned platform. He hasn’t been live on Twitch since then.

To kick off 2026, though, the AMP star revealed that he’s been uploading to a now-not-so-secret YouTube channel and channeling his passion for fashion, unveiling his own brand – Vivet.

Kai Cenat has ‘indulged’ in fashion amid Twitch break

Many fans have been questioning if and when he’ll return to Twitch, and if he’ll offer any more insight into his break.

Well, speaking to TMZ on January 15, Kai did just that, saying his break was much-needed has been “a lot of fun” so far.

“I have to take it serious, it’s clothes, you gotta take indulge in it as much as possible. That’s why I had to take a step break from streaming, to do what I gotta do,” he said.

Cenat had previously stated that he’d been dealing with imposter syndrome and was using the break to reset his mental health.

“Honestly, for the past few months, I’ve been struggling with mental health out of self-doubt and fright of pursuing goals that I really want to achieve,” he posted on X back in December.

He has not yet announced as to when he’ll return to Twitch, but Kai has previously revealed that his Streamer University would return in 2026.
