Jake Paul’s camp have hit back at claims that his upcoming fight with Anthony Joshua is “fixed” before the pair even square off.

There has been a lot made of Jake Paul’s boxing career over the last few years. Many critics urged him to fight ‘real’ boxers after adding a number of wins over YouTubers and former mixed martial arts fighters to his record.

After knocking out the likes of Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, Jake quickly became subject to claims of running “rigged” and “scripted” fights where his opponents wouldn’t hit him and knew when to go down.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has long denied those claims and has even taken legal action over it. As he prepares to fight former world heavyweight champion ‘AJ’ Anthony Joshua, those claims have resurfaced.

Jake Paul manager hits back at claims of “rigged” fights

It was something that Jake’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, addressed during his appearance on The Ariel Helwani show.

“I think it speaks to how incredibly impressive Jake Paul’s accomplishments are, that no matter what event it is – even though he lost to Tommy Fury, split decision – even that one was ‘scripted’ people would say,” Bisarian said.

“For people to say that these fighters are taking paydays, I guess, Tommy Fury must be the one true noble athlete in the world. The reality is it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s illegal. It’s a federal crime.”

The Most Valuable Promotions boss pointed out that the only “variation” in Jake’s fights came during his bout with Mike Tyson, when the rounds were shortened to two minutes for Mike’s “benefit.”

“Absolutely not. 100%. Categorically not,” Bidarian answered when asked if there would be anything of the sort for his fight with AJ.

The pair will square off just before Christmas in Miami, Florida, live on Netflix. A win for Jake would be his most impressive to date, seeing as Joshua is still an active boxer and hasn’t taken years off like some of his other opponents.
