Jake Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, has revealed that lawyers are actively going after people who claim Jake’s fight with Anthony Joshua was “fixed” despite him coming away with serious injuries.

Over the last few years, Jake Paul has started focusing more on fighting ‘real’ boxers in the ring, and less crossover starts from other combat sport disciplines. This has seen him fight Mike Tyson, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, and Anthony Joshua.

Joshua, the former heavyweight king, became the first loss added to Jake’s record since the YouTuber-turned-boxer was defeated by Tommy Fury. ‘AJ’ landed a sixth-round knockout, leaving Jake with a broken jaw.

Despite that, there have been a number of claims that the British heavyweight was in on the fight and that the whole spectacle was rigged. As a result, Jake’s management are suing people.

Jake Paul manager addresses ‘fixed’ fight claims

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Jake’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, confirmed that lawyers are actively pursuing a few of the people who made the claims on social media.

“No, I don’t (think it will stop the claims). Our lawyers are actively going after a number of people. One who claims to be a lawyer himself online,” he said. “I don’t remember the name or the handle, but it was something that had like 200,000 likes.

“And basically, this post said there was an agreement for AJ not to knock out Jake, but AJ disregarded the agreement and decided to not get his payday, but knock out Jake Paul. So, it’s pretty astonishing what people say.”

Bidarian pointed to other boxing promoters who have claimed that Joshua “pulled punches” and wasn’t putting in a full amount of effort. There were also claims that AJ had to wait a set number of rounds before actually hitting Jake.

“There has never once been, in Jake Paul’s career, any talk of that sort or anything to do with the fight being anything but a real fight,” the Most Valuable Promotions boss added.
