IShowSpeed has revealed the biggest reason behind his massive streaming tours, as he believes his tour of Africa is a breath of fresh air compared to what he’s done in the past.

When IShowSpeed started out as a streamer, he could typically be found doing desktop streams. He’d be sat at home, playing FIFA (EA SPORTS FC), chatting to fans on Omegle, and doing general variety streams.

However, over the last few years, he’s put the traditional desktop streams on the back burner and focused more on IRL streaming. Speed has gone on some massive streaming tours, meeting fans in Europe, Asia, South America, and beyond.

His current tour, which is seeing him spend a little time in Africa, is something he’s promised fans for a long time. And, while visting a safari in Botswana, Speed explained why the tour means so much to him, and his viewers.

IShowSpeed explains why he does massive IRL tours

“People dream to go on an African safari, thank you for the live experience,” said Speed, reading one of the messages from his lively chat.

“Chat, that’s what I’m here for. I’m for the people that can’t travel… yeah, I’m just for the people who can’t travel. I try to give y’all the best experience. I don’t make a cutdown video, I show y’all live.

“A raw, true experience of me being at that certain location. Whatever experience it is, I’m your test dummy.”

Speed also noted that the tour, so far, has been “refreshing” compared to everything he’s done in the past.

“Y’all know me. My dopamine is f*cked. I did a lot of s*it, I went to Champions League final, the World Cup final, I met Ronaldo… I did a lot of cool s*it in my life,” he said. “But this is like refreshing for me. It’s such a new experience and it’s so fun for me.

“This trip has really opened up my eyes man, seriously.”

As noted, the streaming tour will last for the best part of a month, with Speed hitting up some major stops along the way.

He’s also done some crazy things so far, including racing a Cheetah. Seriously.
