IShowSpeed left an Algerian cup football match after fans in the stands began throwing objects towards him.

The incident happened while the streamer was attending the game as part of his ongoing Africa tour and touring the pitch before the match’s beginning.

Eventually, following numerous objects being thrown in his direction, Speed’s security suggested he return to the entrance of the players’ tunnel.

Security steps in after crowd reaction

After stadium staff and the streamer’s security suggested the crowd reaction was a result of his not wearing a shirt representing their specific team (Speed was wearing the shirt used by Algeria’s national football team), he tried to move to a different part of the stadium, where the crowd continued to throw objects.

While the reason for the crowd’s reaction remains unclear, a member of the stadium’s staff told Speed, “They like you, but they don’t like to be filmed. They don’t like it, but they like you.”

“No, they don’t like me. You don’t throw water at somebody you like,” Speed responded, before being prompted to leave the pitch by his security.

While moving to a different part of the stadium, Speed continued:

“They don’t like to be filmed. Everybody got their phones out. Even a national broadcast is filming. You gonna get mad at the national broadcast, too? They don’t like me here bro. We should just leave.”

Upon arriving at a private box overlooking the lower stands, members of the crowd continued to throw objects, including liquid-filled bottles, at Speed and members of his team.

Deciding to leave the stadium, Speed said:

“You can’t let stuff like that get you down. You can’t let that cancel out the whole stream. The whole stream, everybody was showing nothing but love. All of my fans showed love in Algeria, obviously. But at that stadium, I don’t know. I don’t know what happened.”

Speed’s Africa tour is ongoing and is scheduled to conclude in late January 2026.
