Heinz is completely reinventing how people eat fries with a genius new design that’s so simple, it’s hard to believe it’s never been done before.
Fries have been a fast food staple for years, but there’s always been one key issue: what do you do about condiments?
For some, the answer is to just pour ketchup or mayo all over the fries in the box, which can result in messy fingers.
For others, they take a dipping approach, but this has its own flaws, because it’s not exactly the best if you don’t have a table or third hand to manage holding onto the box and dip while also dipping fries.
Now, Heinz has solved that problem once and for all with the invention of the Heinz Dipper.
Heinz Dipper completely changes how people eat fries
This new device is essentially a fry box with a built-in compartment to store ketchup or mayo for easy dipping.
So far, the product is available at an assortment of stadiums and select restaurants across 11 countries, including Fat Sal’s Deli, Texas Tech University, and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The brand says the idea for the design came from how often fries are eaten away from home at fast food joints and sports events. Combined with the fact that some customers would skip fries altogether because the dipping wasn’t ideal on the go, and the Heinz Dipper was a no-brainer.
“After spotlighting the uncanny resemblance between fry boxes and our iconic Heinz Keystone globally, we wanted to take the next bold step: redesigning the age-old fry box to work even harder for our Heinz lovers everywhere,” Nina Patel, vice president of the Global Heinz Brand said.
The company plans to bring the product to more countries, including China and Italy, at a later date.
