Streaming star YourRage has sparked fears that Kai Cenat has retired from streaming, but is that really the case? Here’s what we know.
Over the last few years, Kai Cenat has climbed to the top of the Twitch mountain on several occasions, becoming the most-subscribed-to streamer around a few times. The AMP star even reached 1 million subscribers during his Mafiathon 3 stream.
The final Mafiathon was his last stream on Twitch before his current hiatus. Kai has not been live on his own channel since the start of October. He has, however, promised that there are some big streams planned for the future.
Despite that promise, there have been concerns from fans that Kai has finished up with streaming and looked for something else, given his newfound mainstream success.
YourRage claims Kai Cenat has “retired”
Those fears have only been added to by YourRage, who claimed that Kai has retired from streaming and won’t be back anytime soon.
“Kai is on here?” the streamer said, looking at a prediction market for how many subscribers Kai will amass in 2026. “How many Twitch subscribers will Kai reach this year?
“Gang, how do I tell you, he retired from streaming. He’s not hitting none of this. He’s done. He’s a star now, he’s gonna be in movies and s*it.”
Has Kai announced anything about quitting Twitch?
As it stands, there hasn’t been any announcement from Kai about moving on from Twitch. As noted, he’s already promised to do big streams in the future.
The Twitch star teased the second installment of his Streamer University before and during Mafiathon 3.
Kai Cenat’s Streamer University was a massive success.
What is Kai doing away from Twitch?
Kai has been taking time away from Twitch, revealing that he’s been focused on taking care of his mental health and working on some other projects out of sight.
“Honestly, it’s been getting better. It has. But out of frustration and fear, I’ve just been in my head for some reason. I never had this feeling before,” he told fans.
If Kai were to retire from Twitch, it wouldn’t be without a lavish celebration. The point about him moving on to movies and such is valid, however, because Kai has confirmed that’s what he wants to do after Twitch.
Kai, Kevin Hart, and Druski have also seemingly worked on their own streamer-themed movie, which they showed off a trailer of during Mafiathon 3.
