Haliey Welch of ‘Hawk Tuah’ fame is moving to Twitch after admitting that her podcast, ‘Talk Tuah,’ became “too much” for her to handle.
Welch was first catapulted to online fame in 2024 thanks to her viral street interview on TikTok, where she coined her famous ‘Hawk Tuah’ catchphrase.
The resulting limelight was intense. The ‘Hawk Tuah’ soundbite was everywhere on social media, and it wasn’t long before she was rubbing elbows with other internet royalty like Jake Paul, who helped Welch launch her very own podcast, ‘Talk Tuah.’
Fame comes with a price, though, and Welch found herself embroiled in controversy after launching a crypto token, $Hawk, in December 2024 that instantly raised eyebrows. A lawsuit was filed by investors, and Welch promised to help them get their money back.
Haliey Welch is making a big change to her content after months of silence – aside from posting on Instagram, that is.
Following this scandal, Welch went silent online, bringing back her podcast in April 2025 for a short time before going ghost again in May (although she still posts photos to Instagram).
It’s been four months since her last Talk Tuah episode was uploaded to YouTube — but she made a surprise appearance in Glen Powell’s comedy series ‘Chad Powers’ on September 29, which she spoke about in an interview with People.
Haliey Welch joins Twitch with new show
As told in the interview, Welch was “tickled to death” to be invited on Powell’s project, which comes in the midst of a big transition for her own show.
According to Welch, her ‘Talk Tuah’ podcast was “too much” for her to handle in regards to logistics, saying she was constantly flying between Tennessee to California to film episodes with special guests.
“It wasn’t fun anymore, so we’re going to try something different,” she told the outlet.
Instead, Welch is taking her talents to Twitch. She told people her new channel will be called Talk Tuah LIVE, where she will be able to directly interact with viewers via Twitch chat and “get closer” as a fanbase.
Dexerto tracked down her official channel, which has yet to go live as of September 30, 2025. In the description, Welch wrote, “Coming soon,” but no other information is given. Rather than ‘Talk Tuah LIVE,’ the channel name matches that of her other accounts and is officially partnered with Twitch.

Welch also opened up about the crypto controversy that preceded this move, saying, “Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, and some of them are really funny, so I can’t even be mad.”
“They give me way too much credit for that,” she continued. “Do you really think I could’ve pulled that off? I’d definitely tell my past self to be careful who you trust and be very careful what you put your name on, that’s for sure. That’s my problem: I’m a really trusting person until you give me a reason not to, and it normally bites me right in the butt.”
An investigation into the crypto scandal was filed against Welch by the SEC, but was closed in May 2025 “without making any findings against, or seeking any monetary sanctions from” Haliley, as told by her attorney.
