Fortnite’s Design Director has responded to Madison Beer’s comments about the game, where she urged the devs to stop making so many changes and begged for her own skin.
During her appearance on Hot Ones, the internet star and Grammy-nominated singer explained that she “loves” Fortnite, but called for them to “stop changing things that we love” and to “keep it original and give me a skin, please.”
She was referencing the way that Epic Games tends to shake things up every season with a new theme, weapons, and features. It’s also known for its collaborations with major figures and franchises, particularly music artists in the Festival mode.
Now, Design Director Ted Timmins has responded to Beer, but those hoping for a skin might be disappointed.
Fortnite director “hopes” Madison Beer likes Season 2
After being tagged in a post from HYPEX that featured the clip, Timmins replied: “Well I didn’t have being tagged in this on my bingo card today. I hope she likes the upcoming Season 2, some cool stuff in there for the OG’s to enjoy.”
He didn’t go into specifics about what to expect, but this strongly suggests that Chapter 7 Season 2 will bring some features or weapons that are a throwback to old-school Fortnite.
However, Timmins wasn’t drawn on whether or not a Madison Beer Icon skin would be on the cards, as his reply focused solely on the game itself.
We’ve seen plenty of big-name artists appear over the years, from Sabrina Carpenter to Lady Gaga. But given that she also has a large internet following and regularly streams games like Fortnite on her Twitch channel, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a crossover one day.
In fact, plenty of stars have managed to get themselves into the game after asking for a skin, including Festival Season 13 headliner Chappell Roan.
