Twitch streamer FanFan revealed that she has apologized to Kai Cenat over a joke she made at The Streamer Awards, admitting that she should have “ignored” her own script.

This year, QTCinderella’s annual Streamer Awards were held on December 6, with a number of top streamers claiming prizes for their work over the last year. Kai Cenat scooped up four awards for his Mafiathon 3, while IShowSpeed claimed Streamer of the Year.

The show, however, wasn’t without controversy and drama. Streamer India Love apologized to FaZe Adapt and QT after she took to the stage to claim that he shouldn’t have won Breakout Streamer of the Year.

Additionally, long-time Twitch streamer FanFan landed herself in hot water by seemingly comparing Kai Cenat’s appearance at the show to P Diddy. “This year, as everyone knows, you broke the record for the most expensive haircut and the least educational university. So, congratulations to you. Oh, and also, congrats on your new documentary with 50 Cent. That was you, right?” she said.

Since then, FanFan revealed that she has apologized to the AMP star, addressing the backlash on her Discord channel and X account.

“Should’ve just not followed the script and chatted with people but I thought awards shows were meant to be cringe and corny jabs and was wrong, that’s all,” she said. Already sent apology to Kai for being disrespectful and explained the situation. That’s the only person I need to apologize to.

“I could’ve easily just not followed the script and improvised.”

The Twitch streamer confirmed that she had put the script together, nobody else, and that it was a “bad joke” on her part.

“I stand by what I said that it was a bad joke with horrible delivery. I take accountability that it was still my script, but I want to make it clear that QT did not know about me saying it live and even asked me to pivot after things went south,” she added.

“QT is not at fault here, this was a major case of miscommunication.”

QT has, herself, addressed some of the drama and issues around this year’s show, admitting that the event has gotten “much bigger” than previous years.

She is already planning for the 2026 instalment, promising big changes on a number of fronts.
