Twitch streamer Dantes has officially joined the platform’s Partner Program after six long years and 25 rejections, ending one of the most drawn-out partner grinds the site has seen.
Dantes, formerly known as Doaenel, has been chasing the purple checkmark for over half a decade. Despite building a massive following along the way, he kept hitting brick walls in the application process.
His journey took a major blow in 2022 when Twitch issued him an indefinite ban over an “inappropriate username.”
At the time, he still went by Doaenel, a name he’d used since 2019. While banned, his 14th partner application was denied, leading him to rebrand as DoBleedPurple to get unbanned and return to the platform.
Later, he settled on the name Dantes and surged in popularity, passing 500,000 followers. Even then, the denials kept coming. By 2023, he’d been rejected 23 times.
Twitch finally lets Dantes into Partner program after 6 years
All of that changed on November 26, 2025. Now sitting at more than 1.1 million followers, Dantes finally received the email he’d been waiting for.
“I’m honestly too stunned to even think,” the Quebecker wrote while announcing the news. “After 6 years of rejection and 25 denied attempts, I finally got accepted into the Twitch Partner Program on my 26th application.”
He even joked about how desperate the process made him at times. “On one of my partner applications, I wrote that I was ‘Yordlesexual’ because I thought it would help my chances. It didn’t.”
With the purple check now secured, Dantes reflected on what’s next.
“Got married. Got partnered. All I’m missing now is Challenger,” he said, referencing League of Legends’ highest competitive rank.
Given his track record, fans joked it might take 26 seasons to get there, but Dantes has already proven he’s not one to quit.
