A YouTube channel with just one video, Fireplace 10 hours full HD, has reportedly made over $1 million in just under ten years. However, some are split on the claims.

Over the years, plenty of content creators have been able to forge out a long and fruitful career on YouTube. Yet, the Google-owned platform has also been home to some of the internet’s biggest one-hit wonders.

The likes of Charlie Bit My Finger, Met at the Zoo, and Leeroy Jenkins are still talked about to this day. However, they’re a little different from Fireplace 10 hours full HD.

As the name suggests, the 10-hour-long video is focused just on a fireplace, burning along, crackling with wood, and just being very cozy. It is the only video on the ‘Fireplace 10 hours’ channel, and has racked up over 156 million viewers.

YouTube channel reported to make $1m off one video

According to new estimates, the channel has finally toppled the $1 million revenue mark, despite the 10-hour-long video being the only thing that the channel has ever uploaded.

“Bro is set for life,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) said, posting a screenshot of the video reportedly earning $1.24 million over the last nine years.

Other estimations have the channel earning between $500,000 and $800,000 in the last decade.

Some users have claimed that the channel cannot have made that much money, given YouTube’s Partner Program requirements. However, the channel was created before the newly updated rules, and will likely have bypassed the requirements to have three videos uploaded.

Others suggested that the video is making money for YouTube, not the channel owner. “The winner here is YouTube,” one said, pointing out that the platform can monetize these types of videos for itself.

Other channels have followed suit, uploading cozy-themed content that is designed for viewers to put on in the background and not cause a distraction.

The most successful of which is the LoFi Girl, which is now getting a themed cafe to celebrate its success.
