TapCaps, the new mystery keycap collectibles launched by Twitch streamers Clix and Lacy, have already started appearing on resale sites at significantly higher prices.
The Series 1 Creatures blind boxes officially released on February 15, 2026, with a retail price of $11.99 per box. The drop quickly sold out, prompting fans to look toward secondary marketplaces.
Within a day of launch, multiple listings began appearing on eBay, with sellers offering preorders and presales at several times the original price.
eBay listings show steep resale markups
Sold listings on eBay show TapCaps Series 1 Creatures Mystery Blind Box listings marked as PREORDER or PRESALE, with prices ranging from $39.99 to $60.
One listing sold on February 16 for $39.99 plus $5.77 shipping. Another was listed at $58 with $8.10 delivery. Additional listings showed prices of $54.99, $59.99, and $60, all labeled as new and located in the United States.
Several of the listings specifically referenced “RARE TAPCAP” in the title, despite the product being sold in blind box format with no guaranteed character inside.
eBayTapCaps are sold as mystery boxes containing one collectible character keycap. The first series features seven different designs with varying rarities. Buyers do not know which character they will receive until opening the box.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen influencer-made products end up on eBay for mind-boggling amounts of money. Back when Prime Hydration first launched, people were selling limited-edition flavors for over a thousand dollars.
