A fast-food restaurant near Manchester, England, is going viral after revealing that they’re now selling a chocolate-coated chicken burger. Seriously.
Over the last few years, there have been plenty of weird and wonderful food creations put there. This has ranged from a pizza costing $70,000 because it’s full of truffles and caviar, to chicken wings covered in gold foil leaves. There have even been burgers so expensive that you need an invite from the chef to go and eat it.
Well, in Oldham, just outside Manchester, a fast food restaurant has taken things up a notch. Known for their chicken burgers, Burger Eats has pulled off a UK first – a chocolate-coated chicken burger. Yep, that’s right.
“They’ve just introduced a fried chicken burger that is dipped in chocolate sauce and then topped with Ferrero Rocher,” food reviewer ChowReviews said on Instagram.
Chocolate-dipped chicken burger has viewers disgusted
As for the taste of things, ChowReviews said it “didn’t actually taste that bad,” and the “chocolate actually complemented the chicken” in a solid way.
However, plenty of viewers aren’t too sure about that take. “I’m calling the police,” one commented. “The things these food places will do to go viral. No original ideas, just nonsense,” another said.
“Shouldn’t be allowed,” another chimed in. “Places like this need closing it is not food, just a hospital waiting room,” another said.
Burger Eats has been pushing the boat out with their creations, recently coming up with a peanut butter and jelly chicken burger, a spicy chicken toasted sandwich, and biscoff covered chicken tenders.
Some intrigued viewers have stated that they want to try the weird and wonderful combinations, but they’ve not bit the bullet yet. Most of their burgers cost around £10/$13, so be prepared to splash out for one.
