Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson and Caleb Hearon are in “peace talks” after the YouTube megastar came under fire for criticizing Rolling Stone’s ranking of himself vs the comedian in their annual awards.
Over the last few years, there have been a number of annual awards and rankings that creators can look forward to. The latter of these, the rankings, cover a whole load of bases. Typically, content creators who have had big years outside of the internet get bumped up a whole lot.
On August 26, Rolling Stone magazine released its 2025 creator rankings, with IShowSpeed taking top spot. MrBeast, however, had issues with being ranked at number seven, one spot behind comedian Caleb Hearon.
His biggest gripe was the fact that he dwarfed the comedian’s follower count. “According to the list, this guy with 1 million followers is more influential than me. What did I do to piss off the Rolling Stones,” he said in a now-deleted post.

MrBeast posts again about Caleb Hearon
Some saw the funny side of Donaldson’s post – The Rolling Stones are, of course, not behind Rolling Stone magazine – but others criticized him for taking a swipe at Hearon.
After deleting the post, the YouTube superstar responded to one fan who asked him to show the comedian some respect.
“Ngl after this I watched some of his stuff and it’s actually good. I deleted the tweet I don’t want the smoke from the shooters, spare me plz,” he said in a follow-up.

Hearon also saw the funny side of things, joking about being in “peace talks” with MrBeast on Instagram.
The comedian, who called the high ranking an “honor,” also used Donaldson’s since-deleted tweet to celebrate the accolade.

Hearon poked fun at things on Instagram.
He’ll more than likely poke fun at it again at some point. But, for now, the two are somewhat on the same page about things.
