Bush’s Beans is putting a new spin on college football promotions with a can-for-ticket exchange tied to this year’s Bush’s Boca Raton Bowl of Beans.
On Dec. 23, the brand will grant the first 2,000 fans entry to the game in exchange for a single can of Bush’s Beans, turning Florida Atlantic University’s Flagler Credit Union Stadium into what it’s calling the world’s biggest bowl of baked beans.
The promotion marks a first for the annual bowl game and coincides with Bush’s latest effort to blend food culture, fan participation, and live sports into a single event.
How the Bush’s Beans ticket exchange works
Fans who bring a can of Bush’s Beans to the stadium will receive a seat in the “MVBean” section near the end zone. Entry will be handled at Gate 3, next to the “Spirit of Giving” tent, where attendees will trade in their cans before heading inside.
To guide fans to the exchange point, Bush’s Beans will line the route with 10-foot-tall cans placed around the stadium. All donated cans will be given to local families in need following the event.
Actor Keegan-Michael Key will appear at the game as part of the promotion, serving as the face of the campaign and helping lead the effort to create a large-scale visual moment inside the stadium.
Halftime will feature fans wearing complimentary Bush’s Beans “Beans All Over” bucket hats as part of a coordinated display designed to resemble a massive bowl of baked beans from above.
“This is my kind of football celebration,” Key said. “It’s going to be super fun, and I am excited to be part of some beautiful bean bowl footage on gameday.”
