Podcaster Bobbi Althoff has hit back at “hateful” comments after she posted videos of her new boyfriend on TikTok.
Plenty of content creators and online personalities have chosen to keep their personal lives as secret as possible over the years, giving them some degree of separation from their online persona.
Bobbi Althoff, who hit online success because of her podcasts, she initially revealed that she was married to Cory Althoff. The pair split in 2024, with Bobbi being cautious about revealing her new relationship.
The podcaster has since revealed her new boyfriend, Tyler Hawkins, in a series of videos on TikTok. However, she has had to deal with hate since posting the clips.
Bobbi Althoff tears up in TikTok hitting back at haters
On November 24, Althoff hit back at the hate, targeting commenters who repeatedly say she is “ran through” and question how quickly she appeared to have moved on from her marriage.
“Every single time I post him, we’ve been together a year, but every single time, without fail, all the comments are about how I’m ran through. Just mean, mean things,” she said. “If I post any video in general, the amount of hate comments I get are just unreal.
“I think its because I have a lot of men following me and they just have so much to say. They have so many mean things to say. As much as I wish these comments didn’t get to me, its like I’m human and if you got this many negative things said about you every day, it would get to you too.”
Althoff noted that she was seeking sympathy, but asked if her haters would “reconsider” their negative posts moving forward.
“Maybe thats an impossible ask, but as a people pleaser, having so many people be so mean to me online every day is so frustrating,” she added. “People are just so mean to me on the internet.”
She also noted she has pulled back on posting some clips because of the hate. “Literally, why? Why do you guys hate me so much? I don’t get it. I don’t know what I did to deserve that. Its just frustrating.”
