Twitch streamer Asmongold weighed in on the concept of “looksmaxxing” made popular by creators like Clavicular and how girls felt about him before becoming famous.
Asmongold is well known to not care very much about his physical appearance, going months without showering and having one of the most iconic messy rooms on the internet.
He’s frequently documented his unhealthy lifestyle, including his diet that primarily consists of fast food and soda.
Well, it turns out that Asmon wasn’t exactly having a lot of luck in the relationship department either growing up with the streaming revealing women only started talking to him when he became a streamer.
Asmongold says girls wouldn’t talk to him because he’s a “really ugly guy”
In a viral clip taking from his broadcast, Asmongold was discussing concepts like “looksmaxxing” – slang for maximizing one’s physical appearance.
According to Asmon, no matter what he does to improve himself, it wouldn’t matter because he’s too “ugly.”
“I’m a really ugly guy. The way that I look on my camera right now is the best that I can make myself look. If you look at any video of me, any photo of me, you’re going to have thousands of comments with thousands of likes saying that I look like a ghoul, I look awful, everything else. It’s just that RNG.”
He would on to mention how when he was in high school or college, no girls would ever talk to him, but that changed when he became famous.
“Anytime that a girl would interact with me, it’s like, ‘ok, now this has happened because you’re a popular streamer and people know you.’ I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing always.”
He went on to add that he could change his hair multiple different ways and it ultimately wouldn’t have any impact on the way that he looks.
For his part, Asmongold has defended the way that he lives, claiming that while other streamers hire maids and get food ordered, he would rather live in his messy house and clean it on his own because that makes him a “real American.”
