Amouranth’s husband, Nick Lee, has stepped in and offered to finance Adin Ross’s streamer award show after Kick boss Eddie Craven pulled out of the project.
On November 18, Adin Ross responded to the controversy involving QTCinderella’s streamer awards show and how certain creators hadn’t been nominated.
“I do feel bad for QTCinderella though, I ain’t gonna lie. The reason I feel so bad for QTCinderella is because she’s getting pressure from her sponsors to choose pre-selected people, most likely,” he said. “Allegedly. That’s what I’ve been hearing. Everyone is mad at her, she’s breaking down, and I feel her, bro.”
Adin, who was planning his own Streamer Awards show, also revealed that Kick’s Eddie Craven had backed out of funding the event due to creative differences.
“Eddie does not want to cover the Kick awards sh*t anymore, so we are not doing my version of it anymore. It’s going to cost a lot of money, so I’m not going to pay out of my pocket for that,” Ross explained.
However, a new backer has emerged to support the awards in the form of Amouranth’s husband, Nick Lee.
Amouranth’s husband agrees to fund Kick awards and wants Asmongold & Train’s help
In response to a clip of Adin discussing the decision, Nick Lee revealed that he’d be wiling to assist.
“Bro hit me up, I’ll finance it,” he said.
Following up, Lee added that he was “100% serious” and urged Ross to get in touch to hammer out a plan for the show.
“I’m down to talk about it. I’m here wiring money for dumb purchases like RM 88 smileys when I could be funding shows. Contingent on Adin hosting it of course, and maybe throw Ice Poseidon into the mix.”
Lee even attached a photo, flexing a transfer for $2,950,000.
Amouranth’s hubby added that he would be interested in having Trainwreck and Asmongold involved, as well.
As for why he’d put money into the project, Lee explained that he fully supports the idea of The Streamer Awards after attending QTCinderella’s first event and having an epiphany.
“[I] realized that an award show night with limousine + red carpet is an experience that streamers crave… I think if it is done fairly, more exposure + community + recognition is good for industry.”
So far, Adin hasn’t responded to the offer, so we’ll have to see if this event ends up going ahead and how it differentiates itself from QTCinderella’s award show.
