Adin Ross believes Kick made Twitch “fun again,” as he is unsure if he’d have the same level of popularity if he were just starting out as a new streamer.

There have been a number of challengers to Twitch’s dominance on the livestreaming world over the last few years, but Kick has proven to be the most successful of the bunch. The Stake-backed platform has cut into Twitch’s dominance in certain markets, and pulled a number of big streamers away from the Amazon-owned site.

Its popularity has also seen Twitch make a few changes to benefit streamers and viewers alike, including Live Rewind.

Adin Ross believes that Kick’s disruptive nature has made Twitch “fun again,” even though he claims some streamers are still being treated “badly” by them.

Adin Ross claims Twitch is treating streamers “badly”

“Y’all get treated so badly on Twitch, y’all get treated so poorly on Twitch. You guys get cuts taken from you, you know what I mean,” he said during his November 22 stream.

“If I was on Twitch, I don’t know if, nowadays, if I would get the same amount of viewers as I was. But Twitch, it just doesn’t treat it’s creators right, in my opinion. It doesn’t. I feel like Kick made streaming good again.

“The reason I don’t see streamers walking on eggshells anymore is because of Kick. It’s kinda facts,” he continued. “I will say, 2023-2025, after I got banned, they (Kick) treated me so well. Kick made streaming fun again. It made Twitch good again too.”

Ross, who was unbanned by Twitch back in March 2025, has threatened to return to the Amazon-owned platform at different times. He recently claimed that Kick was “lacking” and would focus on Twitch for his “big” streams.

“Will still do kick for game nights, regular desktops, gambling, and streams that make sense on kick,” he told fans. To this point, Ross has stuck with Kick.
