Grandma Mary, a 98-year-old grandmother who shot to fame on TikTok with her positivity in her granddaughter’s videos, has passed away.

The 98-year-old’s passing was announced by her granddaughter, TikToker itsPyxie, on January 2. The TikToker told her more than 1.4 million followers that Mary had passed away on New Year’s Eve.

“On New Year’s Eve, we said goodbye to Grandma. She peacefully passed away in her sleep. How lucky we are to have experienced her and her love. She will always be with us,” she said alongside a compilation of her grandmother’s signature “good morning” message.

The TikToker had regularly included her grandmother in videos, but slowed down towards the end of 2025. Fans regularly quizzed itsPyxie on her grandmother, with the TikToker updating fans as recently as December 19, saying Mary was just being “quieter” and that’s why she hadn’t appeared as much.
