A 6-year-old Girl Scout from Pittsburgh has shattered cookie sales records after selling nearly 87,000 boxes in a single season, setting her sights on an even bigger goal before the fundraiser ends.

Pim Neill, a Daisy Scout, began selling Girl Scouts of the USA cookies on January 6. Within just three days, she had already sold 800 boxes, according to CBS News Pittsburgh. As of mid-February, her total had climbed to nearly 87,000 boxes, far surpassing her original goal of earning enough to attend scout camp.

Her father, Luke Anorak-Neill, stated “Pim is literally unstoppable,” as the family continues tracking her sales publicly on social media. Pim has since set a new target of 100,026 boxes, hoping to secure prizes including a trip to Niagara Falls and fund future service projects with her troop.

From troop goals to national records

Pim initially aimed to sell the most boxes among her group of 11 kindergartners. After reaching 5,000 boxes, she shifted her focus to breaking the state record, then quickly pushed past 10,000 before accelerating toward national benchmarks.

The family has used Facebook and TikTok to document her progress, sharing an online tracker and daily updates. Luke Anorak-Neill has also posted about traditional door-to-door sales, writing that Pim knocks on doors after school and on weekends when weather permits. She also calls supporters, hands out flyers, and asks for orders at church and community events.

In addition to online promotion, the family encouraged relatives to purchase cookies instead of giving Christmas gifts.

Overcoming early setbacks

Pim, who had dreamed of becoming a Girl Scout since she was 3 years old, faced delays joining a troop due to her late birthday. Her father also told People that she encountered resistance early on related to her disabilities, describing the experience as “brutal.”

“At one cookie booth, when we asked the adult ladies running the booth, before we knew anything about Girl Scouts, the one lady literally screamed at us (in front of all the girls) that my child’s disabilities would hold a troop back and that she didn’t want Pim in her troop,” Anorak-Neill said. “She told us to go find a playgroup for disabled kids.”

Despite those challenges, Pim eventually joined a troop, with her father signing up as a troop leader to support her.

The Girl Scouts’ cookie season typically runs from January through April, with Pim’s mother writing on TikTok that buyers have until March 22nd before Pim’s store closes.
